Photos, Story, Recipe & Tips

Pescara is a major province of Abruzzo, Italy. The city of Pescara is located on the east coast of Italy with shores of Ionian saltwater, famous fishing villages, adjacent to decadent olive oil groves and robust wineries. The word Pescare means “to fish” in Italian, and you get reminded of the economical and social reliance on the fishing market at every turn.

The fishermen and chefs are so intertwined, that it is an insult to hide the fish quality behind heavy butter and breading, but instead in a “Here I am!” preparation of crudo con limone e sale (raw with lemon and salt).
